ArtsPeak (the confederation of national peak arts organisations) has been successful in its call for a Senate Inquiry into the last two federal arts budgets.

ArtsPeak member, the National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA), has created a useful toolkit with details on how to make a submission, examples of submissions and contact information.

Everyone is invited to make a submission to the Senate Inquiry. The more submissions the Inquiry receives, the greater impact it will have.

Although the Inquiry cannot make any legislative changes, it is a means by which the arts sector and any other interested people can get their views heard and provide a full picture of what is at stake to politicians at all levels of government, the public and the media.

Your submission can take any form: written, illustrated, audio, video etc. If you have already written a letter, it can form the basis of your submission.

The submission deadline is 17 July 2015. View the NAVA toolkit here.
