Representatives of the AICSA recently took part in an Independent Performance Makers weekend of consultation and planning. Supported by Arts SA, the weekend at Carclew was led by visiting Arts Producer, Angharad Wynne-Jones, using an Open Space facilitation process. The central topic was “Creating SA’s distinctive performance culture – what do we really want and how can we make it happen? One issue raised at a session on arts advocacy, was the need to ensure representation of professional artists on the Boards of arts organisations.
The meeting resolved to increase artist representation on Boards through their own networks and organisations.
