Supporting the Creative Ecology in SA

The Arts Industry Council of South Australia (AICSA) invites all interested parties to gather with us on the steps of Parliament House at 1pm on Friday 22 May 2015.

This gathering will celebrate the integral role that small to medium arts organisations and independent artists play in the vitality of Australia’s Arts ecosystem. In this time of change and uncertainty in the national funding structures for the Arts, it is important to remember that the small to medium and independent sector of the arts is home to many of Australia’s leading artists, the fount of a unique cultural voice and the sector from which much of our national creative vision springs. Artworks from small arts organisations and individual artists fill our galleries, populate our festivals, articulate our identity, tour our regions and illuminate our lives.

We look forward to you joining us to take time to reflect on the creative success and contribution of small to medium arts organisations and independent artists across South Australia, nationally and internationally.

When: Friday 22 May 2015, 1pm
Where: Parliament House steps, North Terrace
