AICSA representatives met with State Liberal Leader Stephen Marshall, the Shadow Minister for the Arts and Isobel Redmond MP yesterday. The meeting focused on four main advocacy topics: $2 million increase in funding for small to medium sector; SA arts policy framework; Creative Futures workforce development research project; and Infrastructure planning – arts venues as centres for creativity.
Stephen Marshall and Isobel Redmond requested that the AICSA organise site visits to a sample of small to medium arts organisations. We also discussed an event to highlight arts platform and policy in the lead up to the State Election in March 2014.
